Credentialed Instructors

Credentialed ESD Professionals undergo rigorous training and practical application, gain supervised experience teaching, and then take the Industry Credentialing Exam hosted by the IAESDP to guarantee that the education and skills they are imparting meet the industry standards for Empowerment Self Defense Education. When you are ready to train, seek out Credentialed Professionals!

Credentialed ESD Professionals Provide:

Trauma-informed Brave Spaces where participants can feel safe to train and share

Empowerment Self Defense-based education, even in contexts outside of self defense classes, like workspaces, schools, social groups, and much more

ESD-based life skills that are applicable in every facet of life, not just self-defense situations

Be sure to look for the "ESDP" designation after a provider's name. Credentialed providers will have a Unique Credential ID Number that you can request in order to verify that they are professionals in good standing.
